October 21st-24th: Second Harvest Food Bank announces the following Tailgate Food Distribution events.
– Delaware County Thursday, October 23 – 10 AM Muncie Mall, 3401 N Granville Ave, Muncie
– Henry County Friday, October 24 – 10 AM First Baptist Church, 709 S Memorial Dr, New Castle
– Randolph County Friday, October 24 – 10 AM Goodrich Park, 701 N Union St, Winchester
Distributions are while supplies last. All are welcome, regardless of home county or reason for need. IDs or proof of address/income are NOT required. Please arrive no earlier than two hours before the scheduled start time. Walk-ups should aim to arrive an hour after the scheduled start time. October 24th: Muncie Shrine Club will have a Friday Night meal each week from 5-8pm. The special is smothered pork loin with mashed potatoes, green beans, salad bar, and dessert. All home cook meal for only 15 dollars. Location is 3671 N Shrine Dr. Muncie. The location is out by the BMV and Tractor Supply. https://murpahshrineclub.com
October 24th: Tenderloin Dinner at the Knights of Columbus at 3600 W. Purdue in Muncie from 5-7pm. Dinner includes a breaded tenderloin, fries, coleslaw, dessert, and a drink. Adults $10, kids $6. 5 and under eat FREE (chicken available for kids). Proceeds benefit First Choice For Women.
October 24th: Trunk or Treat at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in New Castle, 901 N. 16th St from 6-8pm. Wear a costume. Plenty of candy!
October 25th: 34th Annual Monroe Central Arts & Crafts Show Saturday, October 25, 2025 9 am – 2 pm Admission – $2 (Over 18) Bake Sale – 9 am – While Supplies Last Soupfest Luncheon – 11 am – 1 pm Over 100 Booth Spaces from throughout the state!
October 25th: Craft Expo at the Madison County 4H building in Alexandria with homemade crafts make and take, silent auction, door prizes, lots of vendors, kids corner with crafts and story readings. Lunch with homemade soups/pies and hot dogs/coneys. FREE admission from 10am-3pm.
October 25th: Muncie Shrine Club will host their annual trunk or treat. The Event will go from 4 to 7 pm. Bring your kids and if you are also interested in bringing out and setting up a car you are more than welcome to. 3671 N Shrine Dr. Muncie. https://murpahshrineclub.com
October 25th: “A Place Called Home” a concert focusing on themes of home and community, offering an opportunity to highlight work of local non-profits serving housing needs. Southside Middle School. October 26th: Trunk or Treat hosted by the Jar Community Church in the First Merchants lot in downtown Muncie from 5-7pm. Candy, a fire truck, and a soup dinner.
October 28th: Trunk or Treat at Abiding Hope Community Church at 811 E. 26th St. in Muncie from 6-8pm.
October 31st: Muncie Police & Fire Trunk or Treat at City Hall at 300 N. High St from 6-8pm. Lots of candy plus hot dogs, popcorn, and hot cocoa while supplies last.

November 15th: 36th Annual Knights of Pythias All American Christmas Parade “A Jingle Bell Christmas.” Saturday, November 15th. Parade forms in Baker park – So. Main Street in New Castle at 4pm.
