Please arrive no earlier than two hours before the scheduled start time. Walk-ups should aim to arrive an hour after the scheduled start time. July 23rd-26th: B&B Farms Chuckwagon Races is having their 5th Year of Chuck wagon races July 23rd through July 26th. Gates open Wednesday July 23rd at 12pm. We’re going to do a ride of wagons golf carts and side by side to a local Kuhn’s Den Bar st 6pm. Gates open 8am Thursday July 24th we are doing a trail ride horses only no wagons, 7:00 p.m. pony pulls 9:00 p.m. a DJ. Gates open at 8:00 a.m Friday July 25th 10am trail ride to the pond all are welcome donation meal and swimming. 5:00 p.m. Races first round, Kids Bronc Ridin’, Pasture Barrels barrels at 8:00 p.m. Hubie Ashcraft band. Gates open at 8:00 a.m Saturday. 1:00 p.m. Races second round, Kids Bronc Ridin’, Pasture Barrels, Straw Race and a Special Event 6:00 p.m. Awards at the Cabin, 6:30 p.m. a Benefit Auction that will help a local family or charity and at 8:00 p.m. Backwater band. We will have a variety of vendors at this event homemade foods, someone that does laser engraving someone that does leather work and will have several different food vendors as well and also will have a beer tent. July 24th-26th: The 2025 Aloha International Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival will be held July 24-26th, at the Towne Square Community Centre in Winchester, Indiana from 9:30am-5:30pm! This year’s festival will be packed with more seminars, performances, jam sessions, Q&A, and learning opportunities! In addition, special guest from Hawaii, Paul Kim, will be joining us! Paul is a member of the Waimanalo Sunset Band and has performed on countless great recordings. Hawaiian steel guitar master and instructor, Alan Akaka, will also be returning to perform and conduct a seminar. https://www.aisgc.org/festivals
July 24th: We are starting a new square dance club in Hagerstown and we have our first kick off dance and fundraiser on Thursday July 24th from 6pm-9pm at the 500 West Building in Hagerstown. It is a free will donation event and all proceeds will go to Mahali PA Maisha, a ministry in Kenya, started by local people from Hagerstown. All can attend and watch or learn square dancing. Our weekly lessons and dances will begin the same time and place on Thursday August 21st.
July 24th: “Made in the Shade with America’s Hometown Band” – it’s Big Band swing tunes and you. A FREE public concert by the AHB jazz pros at 7:30pm. Lawn seating in the cool of the evening at Westside Park, 2400 W White River Pkwy, Muncie. The music lineup by bandleader Larry McWilliams is a variety of swing tunes and Big Band classics — a program of famous tunes written by the great ones — such as Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, and Duke Ellington.
July 25th: Anderson Summer Concert Series at Dickmann Town Center downtown. Food trucks on site. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Living Proof takes the stage at around 7:30pm.

July 26th: Tools For School at the Delaware County Fairgrounds from 10am-2pm. All Delaware County School students are eligible to participate. Backpacks filled with school supplies, shoes, dental exams, immunizations all free. Children must be present. Please have ID and proof of residence. Parents must be present for 8th grade and younger.
July 26th: Crossroads Church Hog Roast from 4:30pm-7:00pm. Home-grown sweet corn, grilled pork chops, pork burger sandwiches; home-made bread and desserts are all on the menu. Join us at the Josiah Cromer Homestead Barn (now Howell Farms) near Middletown. Dinner will be served in this historic, circa 1857, bank barn with massive hand-hewn beams. While visiting with neighbors, listen to the sounds of The Fall Creek Community Band under the shade of the sycamore tree. During the evening THE CHURCH AT CROSSROADS will be open for browsing memorabilia from the archives. 100% of the proceeds from this evening will go to the Society for the maintenance and preservation of the historic CHURCH AT CROSSROADS, which was recently placed on the National Register of Historic Places. THE CHURCH is open to the public as a site for weddings, recitals, club meetings, family reunions, retreats, anniversary celebrations and more. THE CLC HISTORICAL PRESERVATION SOCIETY welcomes interested individuals or groups to schedule their special events by phoning Mary Howell at 765-759-7432.

August 2nd: New Castle Band 5K Run and Walk at Wilbur Wright Trail. Starting and ending at YMCA. Registration is 7:30-8:30am or online at runsignup.com (Search New Castle Band 5K Run and Walk). Race begins at 9am. Cost is $20 per person. Includes a fun swag bag. Come out and help New Castle Bands raise money for a new sound system to support our marching band, jazz ensembles, Festival and Open Class Indoor Percussion groups.
