May
May 1st: The Walk of Hope is an uplifting, community-driven event that brings people together to support individuals and families facing cancer. Hosted by Cancer Services of Grant County, the Walk of Hope is more than just a walk — it’s a powerful day of remembrance, celebration, and unity. Participants gather as survivors, caregivers, families, friends, businesses, and community members to show their support and raise funds for local cancer services. Teams proudly wear matching shirts, carry signs, and often honor loved ones through team names and tributes. The atmosphere is filled with encouragement, emotion, and hope — from survivor recognitions to heartfelt moments of remembrance. Funds raised during the Walk of Hope stay local, directly helping provide vital services such as transportation assistance, medical equipment, and other resources for those navigating a cancer diagnosis. Each step taken is a symbol of strength. Each dollar raised is a lifeline. And every participant plays a part in lending a hand to those facing cancer. Friday, May 1st from 5-8:30pm.
