June 26th: COUNTRY CARAVAN STOP – Come hungry and join us for New Castle Taste of the Town, Friday, June 26, from 6 to 9 PM in The 1400 Plaza downtown! Enjoy a summer evening filled with great food, family fun, music from a live DJ, and shopping at your favorite downtown New Castle businesses. Sample dishes from 14 local vendors offering everything from comfort foods and sliders to desserts and sweet treats. Admission is free, and food tickets are just $1 each. Tickets are available in advance at the Elks, the Chamber Office, and New Castle First United Methodist Church, or at the Main Street tent the night of the event. June 26th: Yorktown Summer Concert Series with Big Rosco & The Hammers on the Civic Green at 7:30pm.
June 28th: Harmony House Mission Annual Golf Outing. Harmony House Mission, located in Elwood offers free meals daily, laundry, clothes along with housing for those in need. Christian based and we were just given a new building to grow out outreach and we have lots of work to get things up and rolling. We would love to have 102.5 live to air at our event to help promote. We are offering a $10,000 prize for a hold-in-one. Help us “Tee up for Hope” and transform lives in not only our community but those around. The event starts on Saturday June 27th at 9am, registration can be done online or day of the event. All skill levels welcome. We will also have a silent auction the day of the event. September 12th: Anointed Crusade For Christ Day of Worship. This is an outdoor community event which is free and open to the public from 2pm-8pm. There will be free food and free water while supplies last and free face painting for kids and kids at heart! There will be a free concert from Magdalene Rose and Dove Award-winning Christian rock band Seventh Day Slumber, special guest speakers including Joseph Rojas of Seventh Day Slumber who is also president of the nonprofit Teen Hopeline, Magdalene Rose, and other local speakers, and local guest singers and musicians to be confirmed at a later date.
