The Indiana Military Preservation Association and the Museum of the Soldier are hosting the 2025 Indiana Military Vehicle Show and Swap Meet this Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th at the Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland. Admission to the vehicle show is free this year. Show hours are 9am-6pm Friday, and 9am-4pm on Saturday. The event is open to the public and is an opportunity to see historic military vehicles and equipment as well as a chance to meet and talk to veterans. There will be a parade/convoy of these historic vehicles through downtown Portland on Saturday morning beginning at 10am. A special feature again this year will be a Vietnam era Huey helicopter that will be flying at the show with an opportunity to ride. Cost is $100 per person and $50 for ages 12 and under. WWII and Korean War veterans ride for free. A WWII tank and half tracks will be in operation as well. Exhibitors and vendors will be attending from all over the Midwest with something for everyone. A large vendor area of uniforms, equipment and parts will be available for the collector. Military re-enactors and anyone with a military vehicle are welcome and encouraged to participate. Camp sites hook ups are available. The local service clubs will be providing good eats including breakfast daily.
