October 4th – November 3rd: Hurricane Relief Support – stuff a semi-trailer at Buck Creek Township Station 471 on Airport Boulevard in Greenfield. Most requested items include livestock feed (chicken, horse, cattle, pig), cat litter and litter boxes, collars, leashes, fencing preferred (barbed wire), posts, post hole diggers, camping stoves without propane tank, dog & cat food, drone, rescue raft, flea, tick, and heartworm medications.


October 25th: Inspire Academy Fall Festival at 2801 E. 16th St. in Muncie from 6-8pm. FREE admission! Dunk tank, face panting, cake walk, and more! Activity tickets sold at the door!


October 26th: Monroe Central Arts & Crafts Show at Monroe Central High School from 9am-1pm. A Soupfest Luncheon will be served from 11am-1pm in the cafeteria. A bake sale while supplies last. Admission $1 for adults over 18. Over 85 vendors will be on hand with handmade crafts, gifts, and merchandise. Proceeds go toward supporting local programs concentrating on art, music, and literature or providing scholarships for local seniors.


October 26th: Shenandoah Music Boosters – Come out for a fun evening of BINGO and help the SHS Band get new uniforms! Sign up starts at 5pm at American Legion Post 216 at 450 N 10th Street, Middletown. Kitchen will be open 4:30-8:00pm. $5 per game, 10 games in a pack. October 26th: Old Town Hill Baptist Church Fall Festival at 3000 S. Burlington Dr. in Muncie from 6-8pm. Games, bounce house, and food. Everything is FREE. Join us for some family fun in a safe, friendly environment. All ages are welcome.


October 26th: Halloween Dinner and Dance Costume Party beginning at 6pm at Muncie Senior Center at 2517 W. 8th St. in Muncie. Fully catered dinner followed by a spooky dance and costume contest. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased via phone or in person. 289-0844. Dinner at 6pm. Dance 7-10pm. Must be 18 years old to attend.


October 26th: Muncie’s East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra invites the public to its annual Fall Semester Concert, being presented in the auditorium of Muncie Central High School at 7pm. Admission and parking are FREE. First-year ECICO Conductor Isaac Denniston, music & media instructor at Muncie Northside Middle school, and Conductor of the Anderson University Community Band, heads up this family-friendly program of exciting, contemporary pieces – a music lineup that honors the spirit of honesty, strength, and goodness from the many hero stories of legend, myth, and history. Very special guest performers with ECICO at this concert are the outstanding choral students from both Muncie Middle Schools, on-stage with the orchestra: the Northside Middle School Choir, directed by Isaac Denniston, and the Southside Middle School
Choir, directed by Jaelyn Hence.


October 27th: Halloween Extravaganza At Muncie Children’s Museum from 1pm-4:30pm. Trick-or-treating stations, face painting, games, activities, and more. Costumes encouraged!


October 27th: Autumn Open Woods Phyllis and Frank Yuhas Woods (5964 W 400 S, Farmland) is open for autumn on Sunday, October 27 from 1pm-4pm. This is the last time to visit this glorious woodland this year. You do not need to register for this event, just show up and prepare to be amazed!


October 27th: Jar Kids Trunk or Treat from 5-6pm at 216 E. Main St. in downtown Muncie. FREE treats and spooky soup dinner.


October 28th: Progress Not Perfection As many of you know, Randolph County has faced significant challenges over the past few years, from the tragic loss of many lives to suicide to the devastation of the recent tornado in the spring. These events have deeply affected all of us, and it’s more important than ever that we come together to support one another. Hosted by the Randolph County Youth Behavioral Health Collaborative, we are proud to announce ‘Progress Not Perfection’, a community event featuring guest speaker Nathan Harmon. At the Winchester High School Auditorium at 6:15pm. Nathan Harmon is a dynamic speaker who will share insights on resilience, mental health, and the importance of supporting one another through tough times. This event is an opportunity for all of us to learn more about the local resources available to support our children, families, and friends in need.


October 30th: Anderson Impact Center Trunk or Treat from 6-7pm. Fun for ages 12 and under at 630 Nichol Avenue. Prizes for the best costume. Music from DJ Candy Corn.


October 31st: Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center invites the community to attend our annual Trunk or Treat October 31 from 3-5pm. Rain or shine, we hope to see you there!


October 31st: Muncie Police & Fire Trunk or Treat in the City Hall parking lot from 6-8pm. FREE hot dogs and popcorn while supplies last.

November

November 2nd: Holiday Art & Craft Show at Muncie Central High School from 9am-2pm. Dozens of vendors selling everything from candles, jewelry, soaps, clothing, handmade crafts, baked goods, candy and crochet items to Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Thirty-One, and Zyia. Chili lunch and concessions available for purchase to earn money for the Muncie Central Senior Trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City. Free admission and door prize drawings every 15 minutes!!!


November 2nd: Dancing, dressing up, cash bar, helping a community organization – who’s in? Purchase tickets online now for November 2 Adult Prom! It’s that hot chocolate, bonfire time of year again. This prom will help fulfill our last unmet mission of student scholarships for a Knightstown High School student and a Shenandoah HS Counseling Dept student. November 3rd: 37th annual Senior Holiday Dinner open to all Randolph county seniors at Winchester Moose Lodge 1977 (181 N. Middle School Rd) at 2pm. Lunch will include ham, turkey, and all your favorite holiday sides and desserts. After food, games and fun and a chance to win prizes.


November 6th: This year marks Open Door’s 50th year of service to the East Central Indiana community. With the support of partners, we’re on a mission to ensure everyone in our community has access to the high-quality healthcare and social supports they need to thrive. A special evening celebrating Open Door’s five decades of service. We’ll tell the unique story of Open Door’s history, honor difference-makers along that path, and share exciting updates about our future and growth. The event also serves as a fundraiser for Open Door’s maternal and infant health programming, which is meeting critical needs in our region. Doors open at 5:30pm. Dinner at 6pm. Program at 6:45pm. November 9th-10th: Christmas Open House at Gathered Finds Designs at 715 E. 53rd St. in Anderson from 10am-4pm. 1st anniversary. The store will be decked out for Christmas, with unique gift giving. Vintage, artisan, re-invented, and new. The cafe and bakery will open as well.


November 9th: Muncie Mama’s Market – a curated indoor market for women and moms of all types from 11am-5pm. November 9th: Marine Corps Birthday & Veterans Day Celebration Mounds Detachment of the Marine Corps League. Social Hour 5:00pm, Ceremony and Dinner 6:00pm at UAW Hall: 2840 S. Madison Ave. Anderson. November 15th-17th: The Commons Theatre in Alexandria presents ‘A Christmas Crisis’ and ‘What Could Go Wrong the Night Before Christmas.’ These humorous short plays, performed by The Commons Kids (grades 1-5) will be sure to make you laugh. November 16th: Fall Festival Dance to benefit Secret Families Christmas Charity and the KDM Foundation at the Wedding Factory in Albany at 6pm. Live auction, dinner, music, cash bar, raffles, and more. To secure a table or spot, call 744-0369.


November 29th-December 29th: Nights of Lights at Mounds State Park Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights 6-9pm. A display of Christmas lights decorated in the campground by businesses in the surrounding area and individuals. Over 65 campsites are decorated. Admission is $10 per vehicle.

December 5th-8th: The Commons Theatre in Alexandria presents ‘Christmas Shorts’ at 7:30pm. There’s something for everyone in this one-act holiday delight made up of short sketches and vignettes, performed by The Commons Teens. December 7th: Holiday Market at the Randolph Country 4H Building at 1885 Hwy 27 in Winchester from 10am-4pm. We will have several vendors selling their crafts and wares. December 12th-14th: The Children’s Nutcracker, a ballet theatre fairy tale in two acts, with dancing mice, toy soldiers, dolls and the Sugar Plum Fairy at 7pm.
