March

March 22nd: The Knights of Columbus located in the Columbian Hall, 1225 Main Street, Anderson will begin having their annual Lenten fish fries every Friday starting through March 29th from 5:00 pm- 7:30 pm. Prices are $13.00 for adults and $7.00 for children under twelve years of age. Carry-out available. For more information call (765) 274-5311.


March 23rd-24th: Lunch with the Easter Bunny from 11am-2pm. Murpah Shrine Club 3671 N. Shrine Drive Muncie. Egg hunts will be starting at noon. Bring bags. FOOD: Hot dogs, chips and drink for $2.00/ Hope to see you there!! Easter Bunny will be available throughout the event.

March 30th: Hickory Creek is putting together a Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids in the community. We would love for as many families to show up as possible from 2-4pm. This kind of event makes our residents so happy. The egg hunt will be in the field behind our building and the eggs will be arranged in age group sections so its fair for all the different age groups. Also we are looking for volunteers for everyday activities for the residents so if you are someone with a special talent or just have some free time and want to play cards or board games please feel free to come to Hickory Creek at New Castle. We would love to have you!

April 5th: Booze for the Chug in the Ball State Village is hosting a fundraising event to honor those battling breast cancer. Stop by for fun beginning at 7pm with prizes and more with proceeds benefitting Susan G. Komen. Donations appreciated and shirts will be on sale.


April 19th-21st: Spirits of the Pines Living History Encampment – Come to the Pines and Live History with us. Rain or Shine. Frank Merry Park, 18505 N CR 550 E, Dunkirk, Indiana. @Spirits of the Pines. Friday and Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission to the event is $8 for General Public and $5 for Park Members and Students registered on School Day. Spirits of the Pines brings quality and experienced living history actors portraying historical periods between 1750’s and 1812. Learn first hand about every day lives as a woodland Indian, river pyrates and militia groups who shaped the country we live in today.


April 27th: The Autism Celebration is on Saturday, April 27th @ 11am – 4pm. We will be at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Muncie (1210 Wheeling Ave, Muncie, IN 47303). This year we will have the 5K/Autism walk starting at 9am. This event is a chance for families to take their children to a safe place with plenty of sensory options. Autism Rocks is a nonprofit organization that creates a solid foundation for adolescents and adults living with autism in Delaware County. This event is a thank you to our sponsors for all of the support that allows us to make a difference in the lives of these individuals and their families. Our goal is to not only to raise awareness and acceptance for these individuals, but to provide them with a safe, supportive environment for social opportunities with their peers to build friendships, participate in group activities, have community involvement, and practice social and vocational skills. June 8th: Delaware County Jamboree of Wheels – Car, Jeep, Bike and Boat Show from 12-5pm. This is a family fun event with food trucks, vendors, raffles, music and swap meet. Proceeds from event benefit the Delaware County K-9 Unit. Event will be held at Prairie Creek Reservoir beach area, 6400 S CR 575 E, Selma, IN.

July 20th: the Crew Carwash annual fundraising event supporting Big Brothers and Big Sisters is (tentatively) scheduled for July 20th this year.
